The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) has
said that the moon (Shawwal) will be seen on Thursday in major cities in
Nigeria to signal the end of Ramadan and Eid el-Fitri celebrations.
In a statement by the Head of Media and Corporate
Communications of the Agency, Dr Felix Ale, the new moon is expected to be seen
across the Nation as follows: In Abuja, appearance of first crescent will be
from 6:06pm to 6:36pm, Sunrise – 6:19am, sunset – 6:25pm.
