Osun Govt commends NMA for suspending strike

Osun state government has commended the state chapter of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) for suspending its 7-day warning strike .


The commendation was contained in a statement by the Media Adviser to the Governor, Mr. Sola Fasure.

Fasure said State Executive Council commended the doctors for returning to work.

According to him, "The Council, which sat on Wednesday 27th, said the calling off of the industrial action will further smoothen healthcare delivery in the state."

Fasure added that the Council saluted the NMA for what it described as the association’s "Sense of sacrifice" and urges the doctors to rededicate themselves to public service and the promotion of the health of all the people.
