IGP DEPLOYS CRACK TEAM TO FISH OUT KIDNAPPERS OF OSUN INDUSTRIALIST

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Abubakar has deployed crack team of detectives from the Force Headquarters, Abuja to fish out the suspected abductors of an industrialist and founder of Yinka Oba Foam, Chief Mrs. Yinka Obaleye and free her from her hostage.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 11, comprising of Osun, Oyo and Ondo states, Mr. David Omojola who disclosed this to Daily Trust correspondent in Osogbo, capital of Osun State, on Thursday, hinted that Police would soon apprehend the suspected kidnappers.
Chief (Mrs.) Obaleye was kidnapped by gunmen about three weeks ago at the frontage of her foam industry, in Ilesa, Osun State around 7.15pm shortly after she left her office at the end of work for the day.
According to Omojola, "We are absolutely committed to tackle cases of kidnap in Osun. The IGP is also interested in assisting Zone 11 in its operation. He has already deployed crack team of detectives from Abuja to fish out the kidnappers of Chief Yinka Obaleye and very soon the woman would regain her freedom".
Speaking on the forthcoming 2014 governorship poll in Osun, the Police boss said "We have set necessary machinery in motion to ensure peaceful conduct of the election and no stone would be left unturned in the preparation for the election".
Omojola also assured the public that there would not be any problem before, during and after the election, just as he expressed optimism that the election would be one of the most peaceful ones in the country.
On the upsurge in crime rate at Ilesa, he said frantic efforts were in top gear to tackle criminality in the town, explaining that the Police Area Commander in Ilesa had been directed to ensure that crime rate is curtailed in Ilesa and its environs.
